'BPI was launched to address a major gap in strategic consultancy, namely combining a deep level understanding of the right business strategy for an organisation whilst taking into consideration the opportunities and threats presented by emerging macroeconomic, geopolitical, and global security factors.'

‘BPI was launched to address a major gap in strategic consultancy, namely combining a deep level understanding of the right business strategy for an organisation whilst taking into consideration the opportunities and threats presented by emerging macroeconomic, geopolitical, and global security factors.
Organisations do not normally have access to this invaluable combination to help ensure they make the right medium to long term strategic decisions.
BPI investigated the market to find the right partner to provide high quality insight into global security and emerging trends, and we chose Scholae. We work on a case-by-case basis with Scholae to give us an advanced capability in delivering cutting-edge strategic level analysis, reports and event content, benefitting from the expertise of their professional network, specialists and “deep generalist” consultants.
When combined with the expertise of our M&A partner Fusion we can deliver bespoke strategic consultancy services and high-end events with an unrivalled level of insight.’
Our mission is to help your organisation adapt and thrive. We use a Networked Consultancy Model to give our clients a full understanding of the big picture, whether through our full advisory process, expert reports or our cutting edge events.
Our Networked Consultancy Model consists of linking into leading expertise and experience beyond our standard capabilities when required, whether in producing reports, creating our events or delivering on our strategic consultancy services. We serve as intelligence hub, connecting into wider networks of consultants, analysts and experts across business, M&A and global security sectors. With our focus on quality data and insight, and our understanding of the global ‘big picture’, we bring in specialists from our partner companies or our extended network when required.
Big Picture Insight (BPI) uses the Quintuple Helix Model of Innovation to inform both our strategic consultancy services and our event and conference delivery. The Quintuple Helix Model builds on the earlier Triple Helix and Quadruple Helix models in providing a framework for theories of knowledge and innovation economics, particularly the knowledge society and knowledge economy.
The Quintuple Helix Model of Innovation is particularly useful in analysing the effects of globalisation and the impact of digital transformation. Within BPI’s conception of the model, the five sectors that compose the innovation system within the knowledge economy are: Academia & Education; Government & the Public Sector; Industry & Business; Civil Society (Media-based & Culture-based Public); the Environment (Natural Environment, Economy & Society). The first three (Academia & Education; Government & the Public Sector; Industry & Business) represent the traditional Triple Helix in the model’s original conception, demonstrating the circular feedback relationship between the sectors in a knowledge economy. The addition of the Civil Society (Media-based & Culture-based Public) sector forms the Quadruple Helix, and with the final setting of the whole model in the context of the Environment (Natural Environment, Economy & Society) completes the fully-realised Quintuple Helix Model.
By understanding the dynamic interaction of these sectors and combined with the strategic insight and M&A experience of our partners Scholae and Fusion, we deliver unparalleled insight into risks, opportunities and emerging trends.
Big Picture Insight (BPI) uses an industry-unique model for events and conferences, combining incisive presentations delivered by analysts and consultants with panels composed of experts and stakeholders. These are followed by both an event report for each delegate and a consultancy session with our global security and emerging trends content partner Scholae.
Our initial process is comprised of SUBJECT & TOPIC ASSESSMENT by BPI and STRATEGIC ANALYSIS by our partners Scholae in forming our EVENT CONTENT. We simultaneously carry out a STAKEHOLDER CONSULTATION with multiple representatives of the five sectors outlined by the QUINTUPLE HELIX MODEL (see above). This enables us to understand how each sector intersects with our subject and what issues are particularly pertinent to decision makers and specialists, and this in turn informs our event content.
Our event format is then composed of TOPIC PRESENTATIONS (1), presented by consultants and analysts provided by our content partner Scholae in order to ensure consistent, standardised and high-quality information and delivery. We follow this with a PANEL DISCUSSION (2) on the same topic, using panels composed of stakeholders and experts representative of the subsectors involved with or affected by the topic in question, and again chosen with an awareness of the Quintuple Helix Model and informed by our stakeholder consultation process.
Finally, in the post-event timeframe our content partner Scholae delivers an EVENT REPORT (3) to each delegate, written via a process of SUBJECT & TOPIC ANALYSIS and with input from the insights derived from each panel session. This is then followed by a bookable CONSULTANCY SESSION (4) with Scholae, allowing in depth discussion of topic and subject matter that is of particular interest to delegates.
As a strategic consultancy, our strategic advisory role combines all or some of our individual services according to an organisation’s needs, and additionally utilises specialist functions performed by our global security partner Scholae and our boutique M&A partner Fusion. We perform a three-step process, initially assessing, then advising, and finally optimising your business. You can read more about this process here. We also offer individual services or bespoke combinations of them according to an organisation’s specific requirements.
Our service model is thus centred around our Primary Service – a complete strategic consultancy service – and from that service all of our specialised Component Services derive, namely: Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A); Global Risk & Geostrategic Outlook; Company Valuation; Economic Outlook & Macroeconomic Strategy; Business Model Transformation (BMT); Regional, Global & Sector Expansion; Board Level Representation; and Research & Case Studies. Our partners Scholae and Fusion provide first-order input into our primary strategic consultancy service from their respective areas of expertise. In addition, Scholae provides first-order input into our Global Risk & Geostrategic Outlook component service and second-order input into our Economic Outlook & Macroeconomic Strategy, Regional, Global & Sector Expansion, and Research & Case Studies component services. Similarly, Fusion provides first-order input into our Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) component service and second-order input into our Company Valuation, Business Model Transformation (BMT), and Board Level Representation component services.
